Uptime Institute Symposium: Middle East Announced for December 7 in Dubai

Reveals Strategic Global Format to Address Issues Unique to Regions

APRIL 4, 2016, SEATTLE, WA - Uptime Institute, the globally recognized data center expert today announced Uptime Institute Symposium: Middle East set for December 7, 2016 in Dubai at the Ritz Carlton. The Uptime Institute Symposium: Middle East marks a strategic shift for Uptime Institute events, with plans to bring Symposia to a number of markets around the globe. The new regional conferences will be better able to directly address both the opportunities and unique issues of each region, coupled with the ability for broader discussion on global issues.

In recent years, up to a quarter of delegates of the United States-based Uptime Institute Symposium traveled from outside North America to participate in the event. In 2015 alone, attendees came from over 30 countries to participate. In that timeframe, Uptime Institute also hosted over a dozen invitation-only Leadership Conferences in 10 countries. The large number of international audiences in attendance at Symposium, coupled with the extensive interest in the over-subscribed Leadership Conferences, showed the need to host larger events outside the US to help Infrastructure Leadership and Operations stakeholders around the world improve the performance, efficiency and reliability of their business critical infrastructure.

"After 10 successful years of Uptime Institute Symposium in the United States, we are proud to expand Symposium across the world. Taking Symposium overseas gives us the ability to more effectively address both market-level and global industry challenges," said Julian Kudritzki, Chief Operating Officer of Uptime Institute. "We are excited to support deep executive level roundtables as well as serve the needs of data center and IT infrastructure experts. This model will blend the market-specific with global trends and innovations. We are pleased to begin hosting multiple Symposia launching first in the Middle East with China to follow shortly thereafter."

At Uptime Institute Symposium: Middle East, delegates will hear from Uptime Institute executives on key issues and topics on the data center and IT infrastructure landscape. Topics will range from a keynote and plenary sessions that speak to global issues and trends along with uniquely local issues presented by area experts and guest speakers.

An early snapshot of Uptime Institute Symposium: Middle East sessions includes:

  • Tiers Demystified: An explanation of the Uptime Institute Tier Certification Process
  • Complex Systems Failures: Avoiding Outages Due to Human Error
  • Mission Critical Commissioning: Why this Step is Critical to the Success of Your Capital Project
  • Lurking Vulnerabilities: Common Operations Pitfalls in even the Most Advanced Data Centers
  • And more

The Uptime Institute Symposium will return to the U.S. in 2017 with both new and familiar components, a full 2017 calendar will be available soon. Additionally, Uptime Institute will participate in a number of important Data Center events from our sister division, 451 Research. These include the launch of Data Center Executive Summit in New York, November 8 and extended presence at the London-based Data Centre Executive Summit on October 20.
